• We are a child safe organisation

• Staff demonstrates a commitment to child safety by their actions and behaviour.

• All children feel welcomed.

• We have zero tolerance approach to discrimination and abuse.

• We recognise, respect and promote cultural identity as being fundamental to a child’s safety and wellbeing, and provide training for this.

• We promote cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and the safety of children with a disability. 

• Our Code of Conduct is well known and understood. 

• All staff accepts it is their role to protect children. 

• There are processes for responding to and reporting suspected child abuse.

• There are strategies to promote the participation and empowerment of all children. 

• The children are listened to and respected.
